Name: Maxwell Mortimer III
Played By: Ashton
Height: 5'10"
Build: Skinny, somebody get this boy a pizza
Apparent Age: 20 ish
Eye Color: pale grey
Hair: (color, style) His hair is jet black, straight, but a bit unruly, and usually looks like it needs a cut.

Appearance: (clothes, mannerisms) Maxwell is definitely a curious individual, preferring to dress in a tophat and a gaudy black coat. Underneath he wears a white shirt with ruffles (possibly with the tag showing--just $3 at the local thrift store) and faded black slacks. Complete with the cheap cane and boots, it looks as though he was aiming for steampunk chic and hit 2-bit stage magician instead.

He speaks softly, with a bit of a stutter, and typically seems distracted, often murmuring or mumbling to himself when no one is near (and sometimes when they are!) For all that, he's unfailingly friendly and polite. Perhaps best summed up in the immortal words of Douglas Adams, "mostly harmless."

Supernatural Type?: People with any sensitivity find that there is a somewhat uneasy chill that follows Maxwell around. The sort of feeling you get when "someone has walked on your grave." It's not anything he does himself, but it's hard to shake the feeling. This is probably why he doesn't seem to have many friends.

Public Knowledge: Most folks have probably been subjected at one point or another to one of Maxwell's stumbling attempts to invite them to his next performance. He does magic shows at the library once a week under the name "Mortimer the Great," but the children have all stopped coming, and there's a pool going on among the library staff regarding how long before the librarian has the heart to tell him to go away.

Song (optional):

Changelings Mask/Mein: People who observe Maxwell at these times will find that he seems taller, even leaner, if possible, and his bones seem elongated, even the ones in his fingers. His skin also becomes painfully sallow, to the point where his cheekbones stand out sharp enough to cast shadows.
